Is there any assembly to IMS/AMCO Rack/Enclosure?
No-and assembly is included free of charge. This assures you that when your enclosure arrives, there will be less down time – saving you time and money. (Accessories should have locations specified-if not they are left to the judgment of the manufacturer to determine best placement options.)

Do you manufacture CUSTOM Racks, Cabinets, Frames, Consoles and Enclosures?
Yes. IMS/AMCO manufactures both modified standard and completely custom products.

How do I get information on parts or products that I cannot find listed?
Because IMS/AMCO has been a supplier to most sectors of Industry for over 6 decades, there will be some parts that become obsolete or changed to defacto standards over time. What hardware is available for rack mount equipment?
The FX, RF, CRFFX and FXST Series racks/enclosures come with #12-24 hardware but 10/32 hardware is available as an option and should be specified at time of order placement.
The 3G IT/Data Server Rack Series are available with M6 hardware only, but can also be ordered with 10/32 hardware and should be specified at time of order.

Are your Enclosure mounting channels adjustable?
Yes, the mounting channels on our FX, CRFX, RF, FXST and 3G Series racks are adjustable front to back.

Can we configure an enclosure and have it ship with accessories mounted in place?
Yes, just let us know at the time of order and the accessories will be installed at no additional cost.

How much space is in a Rack Unit (RU)?
Each Rack unit is 1.75” – which is actually the 5/8”plus 5/8” plus ½” spacing that was established as the equipment-mounting standard EIA310. This assures everyone mounting electronics into a rack that is EIA STD 310 compliant that the equipment will fit.

What is a universal mounting channel?
Universal mounting channels refer to mounting channels that have a square hole pattern punched into the front flange of the mounting channel.
Universal mounting channels use Metric 6 cage nuts. IMS universal mounting channels come with M6 cage nuts and M6 screws. These mounting channels are a requirement by most major server enclosure manufactures for installing their equipment.

What is the lead-time for 19” and 24” Racks/Enclosures?
Lead-time is dependant on types of Enclosures. Standard Enclosures have a 2-3 week lead-time while Shielded and Seismic Enclosures add another 1-2 weeks. Data Cabinets ship in 2 weeks. All ship dates are established ARO.

I need 3Phase, vertical power strip with monitoring, and do not see it in your catalogs –is it available?
IMS/AMCO does supply power strips in 20 Amp, 3 Phase models w/ a variety of options. Just contact us direct or call your local IMS/AMCO National Sales Representative. Custom power requests are also reviewed and quoted upon request. Contact marketing@imsep.com or calling IMS/AMCO at 1/847-391-8120.

What is the Static Load Rating on you Enclosures?
FX/CRFX/RF Enclosures have a Static load rating of 3,500lbs. Our 3G Series Data Enclosures have a load rating of 3,200 lbs. These ratings assure you that they are structurally significant.

What is your return policy?
Products being returned for repair or replacement must have prior approval and an assigned RMA number. Products being returned due to reason other than normal repair or replacement will be subject to a restocking charge. Products returned are to have the freight pre-paid and arrive in good condition and must be within 30 days of purchase.

Do you ship to office buildings- we are on the 3rd floor?

Do you paint special colors?
IMS/AMCO can paint special paint colors and finishes upon request and will provide a quote based on your specific requirements.

Can you supply DC Fans for Cooling in your Enclosures?
Cooling – like Power requirements, can be addressed per specific customer or project. Because we already work with major suppliers of Cooling (and Power) products we typically supply these with seamless integration for each specific situation.

What does CFM mean?
Cubic Feet per Minute. It is a standard measurement of air flow.

I am looking for power requirements that I cannot find in your catalog – do you address these types of requests?
This is a great question as IMS carries a complete line of Power products for your specific applications. We typically cannot show ALL of our products and capabilities – so please contact your Local Sales Representative or IMS /AMCO Customer Service Representative for assistance at customerservice@imsep.com or 1/847-391-8100.
